AceShowbiz - IAMROGUE has got its hand on several pictures from "Immortals" which is currently shot in Montreal. Captured in the first photos from the film are main actors including Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke.
Cavill, who is pictured shirtless, plays Theseus. In a behind the scene video, director Tarsem Singh said, "I told him, I don't want a six-pack, I want an eight pack," when referring to the "The Tudors" star. "He was pretty pudgy when I first met him. But now? Hey, I'd f**k him."
Indian actress Pinto, meanwhile, is cast as Phaedra, an oracle priestess who must join young warrior Theseus on his quest to prevent the cataclysmic war from erupting. She is seen wearing a red gown in the picture, which can be seen in one of the videos posted by IAMROGUE or on Freida Pinto Fan Gallery.
As for Rourke who is tapped to portray King Hyperion, he is seen covered with mud in the picture. Kellan Lutz is additionally among the cast ensemble to play Poseidon, but his picture has not emerged yet.
"Immortals", previously titled "Dawn of War", follows Theseus who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind. Relativity Media has set November 11, 2011 as the day when this action drama will hit U.S. theaters.
