In a short snippet of her brand new single, the 17-year-old Disney songstress opens up why she 'Can't Be Tamed'.

AceShowbiz - Hours before Miley Cyrus' brand new single is unleashed on April 30, a short snippet of the track hits the web. It is 30 seconds long and features lyrics "Don't change me I wanna fly I wanna travel and go / I wanna be a part of something I don't know / and if you try to hold me back I might explode / baby by now you should know."

The music video is directed by Robert Hales. It will be premiered on E! News Tuesday, May 4 at 7:00 P.M. ET/PT and 11:30 P.M. ET/PT with "a unique insight into the creation of the video and the inspiration behind it" to be shared by Miley on an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

The song is described as a self-empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships. It is confirmed to be listed in her upcoming album of the same title "Can't Be Tamed" which is due on June 22.

Days before the album arrives in stores, Miley Cyrus will make a live performance at "Good Morning America" at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on June 18 as part of its summer concert series. Joining her on the line-up are Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum.
