Beside debuting 'Not Afraid', the Slim Shady also reveals that 'Recovery' will not have any skits like his previous records.
A highly-anticipated new single from Eminem has emerged. Titled "Not Afraid", the track is a lead single from his upcoming studio album "Recovery" and was unveiled on the rapper's Shade 45 Sirius Satellite radio show "The Morning After With Angela Yee" on April 29 morning.
"I just can't keep living this way, so starting today I'm breaking out of this cage / I'm standing up, Imma face my demons," part of the lyrics read. "I'm manning up, Imma hold my ground / I've had enough, now I'm so fed up / time to put my life together right now."
"Recovery" is planned to be released across the United States on June 22. "As I started getting to work with different producers and s**t, the very sound changed and I kinda turned the corner," he said on the radio show. "There's a variety of different things, different moods and things like that on there. -- There's not just one overall sound. It's a bunch of different s**t." The Slim Shady also shared that the upcoming release will not include any skits.
