In the May 12 episode, Chloe takes comfort in Briggs as she feels awful about her boyfriend who is on the hospital bed.
"Mercy" is two weeks away from its first season finale but NBC has released a clip from the May 12 episode. The scene revolves around Chloe bumping to Briggs in a bar feeling under the weather. When she starts crying, Briggs comforts her and lands a kiss on her lips.
The episode is called "That Crazy B*tch Was Right". The official synopsis is read, "When two boys get trapped in an abandoned building, Veronica finds herself in the right place at the right time to help them. Back at the hospital, Chloe pressures doctors to perform a risky surgery to save her comatose boyfriend from brain death."
"Sonia treats a psychic patient who makes a mysterious prediction about her future. Meanwhile, Briggs tries frantically to raise the funds needed to pay off his high-stakes debt with the mafia before it's too late, and Sands considers a job offer to return to Afghanistan with a medical relief effort."
NBC is yet to announce whether the medical series will get a second season. The first season's rating is not doing much for a renewal. Debuting with over 8 million viewers, the number steadily declines to 5 million plus in the April 21 episode.
