Josh Hutcherson is said having the same chance with Logan Lerman to play the titular character in 'Spider-Man' reboot since they meet the qualifications.
Another name has been thrown as the possible depicter of Spider-Man. After wide rumors which mentioned that Logan Lerman is close to nab the role have been debunked, IESB now reports that Josh Hutcherson is among the short list of actor who could replace Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in an untitled Spider-Man reboot.
While the deal has not been sealed, the site claims both Hutcherson and Lerman still have a chance to take the coveted part since they fit the description that Sony wants for Spider-Man's depicter - "young, unknown and cheap." IESB has contacted Hutcherson's publicists but they have not released any comment as of the press time.
"Spider-Man" reboot will follow Peter Parker during his high school age. Sony and Columbia Pictures will release it in 3-D on July 3, 2012 in the U.S. with shooting scheduled to begin in late this year. "500 Days of Summer" director Marc Webb has been tapped to serve behind the lens with the script provided by James Vanderbilt.
