"Rockstar 101" actually has Slash featured on the hook, but Rihanna decided to tag Travis Barker when shooting the music video. In two pictures obtained from the set, she is seen wearing heavy eye make-up and black outfit, while the drummer of Blink-182 is snapped shirtless.
Beside Travis Barker, bassist Nikki Sixx of rock band Motley Crue was also asked to make appearance in the new clip, but he declined the offer. "Rihanna just asked me to be in her video for 'Rockstar'. I respectfully said no. What do you guys think?" he tweeted.
Travis Barker and Rihanna do not only team up for "Rockstar 101" video shoot but also work together for the rehearsal of Last Girl on Earth Tour. He gave the Barbadian songstress some drumming lessons for the upcoming traveling show.
"She's awesome," Travis praised Rihanna. "I haven't seen anyone catch on that quick in quite a while and have that kind of ear for drums or rhythm, so I was stoked that she could really play the drums."
