Paige Miles was given 'the worst vocal of the season' label and Simon Cowell said it was overall a bad night.

AceShowbiz - This week, the Top 11 of "American Idol" battle for the top with Billboard No. 1 hits theme and Miley Cyrus as mentor. The first to take the stage was Lee DeWyze who picked "The Letter" by Box Tops. Miley thought he has a great voice but lacked stage presence. While Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi loved the performance, Simon Cowell voiced his displeasure saying it was "corny".

Paige Miles was next with Phil Collins' "Against All Odds". Miley told her that she was being pitchy in the mid-range. Randy thought it was "honestly terrible". Kara complained of how Paige did not put an effort in competing and said that it was probably the worst vocal of the season. Simon bluntly said, "I think that song has just killed you, I do."

Tim Urban sang Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." Miley gave him a hug because he's not boring. However, Randy said that his vocals were "so boring" despite the stage act where he ran here and there. Ellen thought it was like an audition of "High School Musical". According to Kara, little girls would love Tim. Simon said it was "completely and utterly pointless and silly," adding "you have zero chance of winning."

Aaron Kelly performed Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". Miley liked the fact that Aaron sang "The Climb" in audition. Randy said he saved the show from the last two performances. Ellen and Kara thought he picked the right song. Simon said Aaron is a little "trier" but was worried that he may come across a little bit old-fashioned.

Crystal Bowersox was told to start higher on Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee" by Miley. "That is called what is being a star and a good singer," Randy said. Ellen felt a little disconnection between Crystal and the audience. Kara challenged Crystal to put down the guitar and she said she has big plans for next week. Simon liked her version of the song, comparing it to Pink's.

Michael Lynche sang "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Michael Bolton and Miley said she was falling in love with him. Randy didn't think it was the right song for his vocal. Ellen thought it was a little too safe although the voice was great. Kara praised the technique but said it was a bit boring. Simon did a metaphor, saying "it's like you wanted one scoop of ice cream and you got eleven."

Andrew Garcia picked Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine". Miley advised him to take off the guitar and he did. Randy said, "It was the wrong song choice because this is not the kind of vocalist you are." Ellen was crossing fingers that people would vote for him after the performance. Kara and Simon agreed that they overrated him on the audition round. He said, "It was a cute rendition of a Paula [Abdul] song. Full Stop."

Katie Stevens chose Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" and Miley told her to "edge it up" a bit. Randy and Ellen both liked it, with the latter saying it was like she was growing. Kara pointed out that there was still pitch problem but she was in the zone. Simon said it was overall a good performance and thought Katie owed it to Miley.

Casey James did the "Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and The News. Miley told him to work on the eye contact with the audience. Randy said he did it well despite the song choice. Ellen claimed it to be the best vocal of the night. Kara gushed, "You're just ready to make an album. It's all there, you're in a zone now. Stay in it." Simon disgraced Kara's comment, saying it was like an '80s cover band performance.

Didi Benami went with "You're No Good" by Linda Rodstadt and Miley loved it. Randy loved the jazzy arrangement but noted that it was pitchy and all over the place. Ellen didn't like it either, saying it was the wrong song choice. Kara was "confused" about Didi while Simon snapped, "There really was a certain irony in you screeching out 'you're no good'. 'You're no good'."

Siobhan Magnus closed the night with Stevie Wonder's "Superstition". Miley admitted that she is a fan of Siobhan. Randy thought she was fearless while Ellen declared her love for her voice. Kara complimented Siobhan's stage presence and comfort. Meanwhile, Simon sulked it up, "This singing with the screaming at the end ... you should switch it up. Tonight for me was not a good night, over all."
