The stars who join the cast ensemble of the animation came to the special screening which was held on weekend, March 21 at the Gibson Amphitheatre Universal City.
DreamWorks does not recognize a day off when it comes to promoting its movie. On Sunday, March 21, the studio has made the cast and crew for "How to Train Your Dragon" dressed their best to attend the premiere of the film at the Gibson Amphitheatre Universal City in Los Angeles, California.
Lending their voice for the animated movie's characters, Gerard Butler and America Ferrera could not skip the event. Gracefully hitting the red carpet in a black outfit, the "Ugly Betty" actress was sandwiched between the Scottish actor and another cast mate Craig Ferguson when posing for the cameras.
Jay Baruchel who provides the voice for major character Hiccup in the film opted to come out with casual style. Later, T.J. Miller and Jonah Hill were also photographed among the attendees at the special screening.
During the premiere, a number of celebrities took their families to see the PG-rated movie. Those who were pictured with their children included Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, Wayne Brady, Kim Raver, Eric McCormack as well as Holly Robinson Peete. Moreover, young stars such as Booboo Stewart and Bobby Coleman also supported the event.
"How to Train Your Dragon" tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn't exactly fit in with his tribe's longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. His world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. Directed and written by both Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, this adventure film will open wide in U.S. theaters on March 26.
