Lady GaGa took it to 2Day FM's Kyle and Jackie O radio show to respond to negative comments concerning her latest controversial music video. The singer says that despite all those backlashes the Jonas Akerlund-directed clip is "groundbreaking."

"There are transsexual women and transgender women and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people in this world that believe being gay is a choice," she explained. "It's not a choice, we're born this way."

"That's why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world," she added. "I told Beyonce this after it aired, you'll see this video is not just great now but six months from now what this video will mean."

"Hearing people say the video is sadomasochistic or that the video promotes murder for young people, it's my personal belief that the video is getting so much attention, not because of those themes because I've done those themes before, haven't I?" she stated before further noting on what makes people slamming the video. "I've done those themes in many of my videos but it's because it's with Beyonce and it's because there are so many homosexual themes."

Ah ha ha ha ha ha. She's an artist...it's self-expression. Interpret what you all may as it's not going to change anything she does in the future. They're music videos she's not trying to convert you -- GaGa is no cult, yet :P

i agree with "!", it scared the hell out of me. Never before has a music video made me so disgusted by it that i'd never listen to the song again. This video was creepy, weird moves, naked people, everything was disgusting to watch. And the plot? What the hell was that? I still don't understand what that video was about. Does it bring a message? Because all the message I see is "kill your boyfriend because he calls and dance naked".

Okay, I'm a 15 year old, part of the age group of her target audience, no? I thought the video for Poker Face, and Paparazzi were brilliant. And then videos like Bad Romance...and Telephone...and Alejandro. Anyway, she's getting a bit out of hand. You can have 'weird' but not weird were in her Alejandro music video, she's practically having sex with all of them, and it's supposed to represent the gay community? Okay, sorry 'GaGa' but I don't know how to interpret that. I really used to like her music. In fact, out of all her music, I only have two songs by her on my iPod. Two songs that I think are fun and neat. Starstruck and Paparazzi. And when she flaunts around showing the middle finger, does she have no self-respect? How am I supposed to respect someone that runs around half naked, then acts like that in public?

the video isn't groundbreaking, but its DIFFERENT. To the person who said that the video doesn't match the storyline/lyrics to song..well DUH that's the point & that's the difference between Lady Gaga & some other pop artists out there..she could have made it totally uninspiring: girl at a club, avoiding her boyfriend..total YAWN

Did she just steal some elements from Thelma and Louise? Where is the 'gay' content. Apart from the glorification of murder and violence, and the objectification of women I don't see anything impressive about this video

The negative reviews on this video should be more about how it doesn't relate to the song at all. Back in my day, the smart and kooky artists made videos to match the story line of the song...and they were fun to watch. Now everything is based on a dance routine and the clothes one wears. BTW the 'creepy' editing on the choreography; didn't Marylin Manson do that about a decade ago? She writes a great tune but for those 20yrs and younger, Newsflash: She is not doing anything groundbreaking that hasn't been done before.

Okay, comming from a teenager (15) i think people should just leave gaga alone. Shes doing her own thing and i soo support her for it, people are bashing her for doing her own thing! isnt that what should be promoted being your self and not carring what others think? i think its great what shes doing becuase she can actually sing her videos are creative and appealing. i personally dont care if thers transgender people in that video. Most adults need to wake up and smell the coffe there are other people in this world bsides just male and female genders, GET OVER IT! it would be really boring if everyone were the same now wouldnt it? and everyone bashes gaga for being different! different is good. some people need to wake up and get over it she is who she is and i totally support her. and one other thing media does not make kids do things, kids do things becuase they want to, not becuase media told them it was cool adults need to realize this.
