Saying that it is time for someone else to step up and do 'The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn', the 'New Moon' helmer thinks Martin Scorsese or Wes Anderson should direct the fourth film.

Though Summit Entertainment has planned to kick off production for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" in fall this year, no director has been attached to the project. While some names have been suggested to tackle the job, Chris Weitz has ruled out possibility of him returning to the franchise.

According to Gossip Cop, a representative for the "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" helmer has confirmed that he has decided not to work on "Breaking Dawn". Instead, Weitz is set to direct a personal project about an undocumented Mexican laborer that he himself is partially funding and will start shooting in April.

In an interview with E! Online, Weitz explained his reason to skip the fourth film. "I think it's time for someone else to step up and do it, just because the third film was done by somebody else." When asked to offer his opinion about who should tackle the job, he answered, "I love Martin Scorsese, I love Wes Anderson, I love Michael Winterbottom. I'm not sure any of them would feel like this is their next best step, to direct a film in the 'Twilight' series."

Previously, some "Twilight" actors have uttered their favorite choices to be "Breaking Dawn" helmer. Robert Pattinson thinks Gus Van Sant, the man behind 1997 "Good Will Hunting", will be suitable for the job, while Jamie Campbell Bower wants "Alice in Wonderland" director Tim Burton to serve behind the lens for the latest installment of the vampire movie series.

Summit reportedly is still looking for "high-end" directors but has yet to decide whether or not the last chapter of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight Saga" novels will be split into two movies. However, some sources claim dividing "Breaking Dawn" into two parts "is the direction that it's going in" and the latest installment of "Twilight" film franchise will likely be shot back-to-back.

"The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" will continue the love story between mortal beauty Bella Swan and hundred-year-old vampire Edward Cullen. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are expected to reprise their roles of Edward, Bella and Jacob Black respectively in next film(s), which script is written by Melissa Rosenberg.

Just remember that so many fans are over the age of 30,please grow up the last book breaking dawn, no more 'ah paper cut' lines. I loved the books and wouldn't miss the movies for anything but I really think so much more could have been achieved and they could have appealled to a much broader audience. It not the actors, its the material they are given the chemistry is there, the characters are great give them more depth, there is so much missing. Really the last book should be three movies, eclispe could have been two movies itself.

Thats the best news I've heard all yr, the twilight series needs to be directed from a womens point of view, especially to capture the true emotions of the book... He failed miserably to do that...he killed a beautiful story, he made so many mistakes in the movie, which he himself has admitted. I hope the director of Eclipse does a better job. No matter what anyone says TWILIGHT has been the best so far, the movie created and even bigger fan base than what was expected.
