Jay Leno came back to the "Tonight Show" Tuesday night, March 2, bringing Adam Lambert. The "American Idol" singer took the stage after Sarah Palin and Shaun White's appearances, singing "Sleepwalker" live.

Just after exiting from the stage, Adam had a brief chat backstage, talking to Bryan about what he has in common with Sarah Palin, Shaun White and Jay Leno. Also, he tweeted about the performance on Twitter, "Leno was soooo much fun! Tune in tonight! Wait till you see the high glam we served!!"

Next performer coming to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" after the Tuesday show is Avril Lavigne who is set to sing on the next day. Furthermore, Lifehouse and Robin Thicke are billed for the March 4 and 5 shows respectively.

Adam was amazing! Sarah Palin was a waste of time.I would have never watched her if Adam hadn't been coming on. Jay should have talked to Adam instead.

Awesome Adam as usual! After watching American Idol's pitchy singing last night it was so refreshing to hear Adam again! His performance was better that his recorded song..although the recorded one is great too! I love the whole album! Adam is the real deal and a superstar! I wish I could see him on tv more. He definitely makes me tune in!

ADAM, come to Japan. your style really fit here. We are welcome you. I never know american is such conservative. Performance is freedom. Adam had been nice to pretty much everyone, medio, co-worker, fans and all. While he talked about music, he talked so much professional terms we never even heard about it. he knows about his music and he is about creating the new music. of course he can make a commercial album and hit the market easily. a classic rock or pop. he said classic is past. he wants create the Adam music. what kind of courage is that. you should see the video shoot in his recording studio. he was really working with producer with all those music arrangement. he is an idol. he can just look good and open month. but he considered himself as an artist. American, be more open mind and appreciate art. American Dream, isn't it?? Who got the guts and work hard and win it.

Adam Lambert rocked his song, Sleepwalker. I tuned in specifically to see Shaun White and Adam Lambert. Adam was drop dead gorgeous. He rocked that song. Loved it! Way to go Jay Leno. Welcome back.

ADAM LAMBERT was perfection! That interpretation was a class act. He started off with quiet, weary vocal. Then he gradually kicked it into higher and higher gear as the emotion build up and the end was so powerful. He looked tasteful and gorgeous, his voice was flawless. YES, I could feel and see my hair rising ---- Adam is an impeccable artist! I feel best to witness to the raising of Adamís star because such phenomenal talent doesnít appear in everybodyís life time. People could see again (and again) how SWEET and NICE Adam really is. People need to understand he actually interprets the lyrics of a song, whatever the lyrics are. Heís an actor after all and he does a very good job with his interpretations. This is why sometimes he surprises SOME people. It is about his interpretation and NOT about who he is.

He is just amazing. Love "Sleepwalker" and have been waiting for it to be done live since the release of his CD (which I love). I did miss the searing guitar solo though. Couldn't they have given him a few extra minutes to do the whole song? More Adam less Sara next time Jay,really!

"Real Deal" is a good phrase. It's wild because he is almost actually better live than recorded...and if you like his Rock edge, you'll definitely love his live performances. Not-yet-fans should check out his Fantasy Springs performances, his AOL Sessions performances, or any performance from his live shows in NYC on this past Valentine's Day Weekend. You don't have to love Lambert, but he has so much to offer us vocally and musically, it's undeniable. He rocked that stage on Leno, vocally and performance wise, his detractors can never take that away from him. I hope he reached some people via Leno that will say "yeah, I'm getting it" and check him out, I really think more people could get some enjoyment out of his music and they'd be psyched they finally discovered him. And yes - HE IS NICE - that's the thing!!! As far as Sarah Palin, her first 3 minutes or so of talking, the particular points she was making, I felt like saying "yeah, Adam Lambert could say the same things, how do you think he feels"...was kind of ironic to me actually - check it out if you're so inclined and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, he rocked that stage last night, even within the confines of having to be worried about being PC and not straying too far out of the box... REAL DEAL indeed!

Adam was AMAZING!!!! I wish they would have interviewed him. I waited so long during the show to see him and it was for a split few minutes. They wasted too much on Sarah Palin. I kept switching the station during her interview until she was done. Adam rocked as usual!!!

Yeah - the video here isn't working. And why did you TELL us there was a backstage interview, then not show it to us? Or even print quotes? Just being mean? Adam's performance of Sleepwalker was lovely, tho it kinda seemed like he was rushing through it - was he? But if being on Leno is a promo, for those of us who already love and GET him, it was great - but for trying to intro him to those who don't YET know or get him - not so much. Lovely song, but his hair and glitter-makeup would distract the attention of pre- or non-fans too much. Sad to say, if the look is NOT distracting THEN the newbies will listen. Promos aren't just for US, they're supposed to draw in the newbies. And that "BigBoy-look" hair isn't likely to do that. That said, oh my he DID look lovely - and loved the jacket too!

He was fabulous on Leno, his vocals were out of this world as usual and I LOVE Sleepwalker!
