Although he has signed on for the Mattel's movie first, the young star reportedly skips it after realizing that Hasbro has done better jobs with its movie projects than its rival company.

After being reported taking a number of jobs, Taylor Lautner has let go one of the projects. According to New York Magazine's Vulture, the actor turned down "Max Steel", an upcoming Paramount Pictures' movie which is based on an action figure by Mattel, the world's biggest toy company.

Sources inform the site that the 18-year-old decided to drop out of "Max Steel" to make "Stretch Armstrong", a Universal Pictures' film based on a toy character for Hasbro. Lautner reportedly learns that Hasbro, which is a rival company of Mattel, has done better jobs with its movies than Mattel. An insider familiar with the decision tells Vulture, "When you sign up to make a movie with Hasbro, you know it will be in theaters a year later."

Few days before, Taylor Lautner has also been reported to have skipped another movie, "Northern Lights (2010)". The "Twilight" hunk was said parting ways with the project over "casting issues" as sources said his representatives wanted to "put the best actors and directors around him." Despite his departure, the film is allegedly still moving on.

Losing two jobs, Lautner will still appear in several movies as he has been tapped to take the lead role in Summit Entertainment's action movie "Cancun" and signed on to star in Lionsgate Films' "Abduction". Before that, he will be seen reprising his role of Jacob Black in "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" which is set to hit U.S. theaters on June 30.
