Michael Jackson's children are scheduled to attend the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31. Prince Michael Jackson Jr., 12, and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, will be accepting Lifetime Achievement Awards on his behalf.

This will be Prince and Paris' first public appearance since Michael's memorial service on July 7, 2009. "The whole world is waiting to see these children blossom," said Brian Oxman, a lawyer for Joe Jackson, as quoted by CNN.

Despite rumor that they will take part in the tribute show staged for their father, these kids are confirmed not to sing or dance at the annual event. Additionally, they reportedly will be coming to the Staples Center without Michael's third and youngest kid Prince Michael Jackson II aka Blanket.

Michael Jackson will be remembered by his fellow musicians in an all-star tribute show featuring Carrie Underwood, Usher, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson. The special segment will also unveil Michael's "Earth Song" 3-D mini movie which was originally created for his This Is It concert series.

I`m glad that Prince and paris decided to accept this award in behalf of their father. They both showed a very strong character embedded by Michael. It was great. They are strong, brilliant and focus...Michael jackson must be really proud of them. The love and care he has given his children are visible in the eye and magnetize the heart. It was right and amazing to show the world that they are proud of their dad. Kudos to the three of them and may GOD continually bless and guide them as they grow up.

The reason people donít want Michaels children to talk is because every time they do they put to shame all the evil things said about him while he was alive. The children are proof Michael was an excellent father and an extraordinary human being.

God bless Paris and Michael for accepting the award as this appears to be what theyw ant to do. It is apart of their healing and to stay close to their father. Shame on the rest of you for your negative comments. You are the reason why they should not honor their father in public. Go crawl in a hole.

I totally agree with Kerry's comment. It makes total sense to have the award accepted by MJ's kids. I am convince that tese kids are not forced to this, this must mean so much to them. Cuddo to both of them!

I agree with both of your comments but Delia your forgetting the point that if Paris and Prince want to accepted the award on their father behalf then they should, no1 is making them get it, it's their choice and their choice only. if they want to face the press then let them do it, it's their choice if they want a normal kids life like ours or if they want a kids life like their fathers and Iím sure their father will be proud no matter what they choose and if they don't want to say something about their dad then let Jermaine do it no one is making them say a speech are they

Hmmm, again the jacksons, prince and paris. I am sorry, but this whole story won't end until those two are out of that foster family. Why just the older ones , and not Blanket as well, he is MJs child too. I think Debbie should take some action, or this will be just the beginning, today an award show, tomorrow another, and in no time they'll be on TV doing God knows what. This isn't right.

The kids don't know what they get themselves into when they step into the spot light, but the jackson's do. What Oxman said, about letting the world see the kids blossom, makes me think that someone else is behind this, not the kids, who obviously must have found out from someone cause they aren't allowed to watch Tv or surf the internet. It is more a way of showing how well they are with the 'family'. These kids have been through a lot, and all they'll get after such an appearance is the bad humor of those who once again will bring up the topic that MJ is not their real dad. Oxman's ironic statement, makes one wonder what the family really wants to show with this, and who came up with this idea. I bet the kids didn't have a say in this, it's someone elses decision.

Why is Joe jackson's lawyer talking about this, I hope grandpa isn't the one who had the idea. Those children need to be kept away from him and his bad influence.

I hope this won't happen. leave the children alone, away from the spot light. What is this family trying to do? Jermaine can go and accept the prize. Paris prince and Blanket showing up on the stage will be just pathetic, the last thing they need is to hold speeches about their dad. At least not now.

Although Michael did fiercely protect his children from the media so they could have the childhood that was robbed of him, we have to accept the fact that he was a global superstar and one day, these kids would be out in the limelight. I think this is a wonderful tribute to their dear father and they are the absolute best choice to accept thtis award on his behalf. His children have suffered a tremendous loss and theirfather so wanted them to see him perform. His children will never have their dad back, but they can be forever proud of his accomplishments and the role model he was as their dad. Accepting this award will be a great joy for them and a way to show their dad what he meant to them as a dad and not just a superstar. Michael always wanted his art to live on and be immortal and his wish will be fulfilled as his art has lived on and his children are his legacy and should rightfully present him when accepting this award. I know these children will grow up to make their dad very proud of them. He will be watching over them in Heaven.
