Another fund-raising event to support the victims of Haitian earthquake has been staged. This time, organizers for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards have booked Mary J. Blige to make a duet performance with Andrea Bocelli and sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" for the cause.
Their performance will then be made available for download following the telecast with all proceeds going to American Red Cross. In addition to benefiting the relief effort, it also marks the 40th anniversary of Simon & Garfunkel's classic song receiving Grammy trophies for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli's performance is not the only tribute show at the January 31 ceremony. Carrie Underwood, Usher, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson will also take the stage, paying homage to Michael Jackson.
