In the action comedy, MacGruber is an American hero who will do anything to save his country including taking off his clothes in front of his enemies.
Rogue Pictures has shared the first look at forthcoming "MacGruber" by debuting an age-restricted trailer. Showing how the major character in this film is different from the heroes in other action movies, the snippet gives a glimpse at MacGruber who bares his skin to distract his enemies.
In the 10 years since his fiancee was killed, special op MacGruber has sworn off a life of fighting crime with his bare hands. But when he learns that his country needs him to find a nuclear warhead that's been stolen by his sworn enemy, Dieter Von Cunth, MacGruber decides to sign on for the mission.
Assembling an elite team of experts-Lt. Dixon Piper and Vicki St. Elmo, MacGruber will navigate an army of assassins to hunt down Cunth and bring him to justice. Though his methods may be unorthodox and his crime scenes may get messy, he will do anything to save the world.
Based on a recurring sketch on NBC's "Saturday Night Live", "MacGruber" has Will Forte tackling the title character. He is joined by Val Kilmer who stars as antagonist character Dieter Von Cunth, Ryan Phillippe who plays Lt. Dixon Piper and Kristen Wiig who portrays Vicki St. Elmo. This action comedy will hit theaters across the U.S. on April 23.
