Mos Def's upcoming music video in companion to his latest single "History" has been made available for viewing pleasure. Debuted on MTV, it features black-and-white cinematography with the singer keeping it real in suit.

"History" has Talib Kweli lending his vocal on the hook. The song is one of the singles appearing in Def's fourth studio album entitled "The Ecstatic" which is up for Best Rap Album at 2010 Grammy Awards.

"Casa Bey", another track in the album, also earns him a nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance at the annual event. The single is facing off against Drake's "Best I Ever Had", Eminem's "Beautiful", Jay-Z's "D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune)" and Kid Cudi's "Day 'N' Nite".

Beside making music for his own album, Mos Def also contributes to other artists' projects. Along with Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack and the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb, he will be featured in Gorillaz's new album "Plastic Beach".
