A representative from the show would not confirm the cancellation of season 6's Top 10 tour other than saying that nothing is determined yet.
Rumor is flying that "So You Think You Can Dance" will not conduct a tour this season, at least not in immediate future. The source of the story is Mollee Gray who is one of the Top 10 finalists of season 6 who suppose to have heard about a plan to go on a national tour after the show wrapped up last week.
Gray tweeted on Tuesday, December 22 afternoon, "I just heard we aren't having a tour?! Ugghh man that sucks for sure... :( I'm gunna cry :(". Nevertheless, a rep of the show has also released a statement that confirms the sixth season's line-up has not received any conclusion that the tour is canceled.
"It has been a very unique year for So You Think You Can Dance with seasons five and six airing back-to-back and season seven auditions starting in January," the rep began, adding "Each season we strive to deliver a stellar tour for the fans and are still open to touring opportunities with the season-six dancers in the future, but nothing has been set at this time."
There is no decision either about when FOX will deliver the seventh season. Head judge Nigel Lythgoe thought that this kind of show should be conducted once a year to let a season's winner enjoy the whole year to him or herself. "I still don't know if [season seven] is going be in the summer or in the fall next year," he said.
