'In terms of 'Spidey 4,' I will plead the Fifth and not say anything,' the depicter of Peter Parker said when asked about the latest rumor of the next Spider-Man's enemies.

AceShowbiz - The latest rumor of the possible villain in "Spider-Man 4" said that John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway may play the Vulture and the Vulturess respectively in the next Tobey Maguire-starring film. Recently, MTV tried to get some information on the truth about the rumor by asking the depicter of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

"In terms of 'Spidey 4,' I will plead the Fifth and not say anything," Maguire stated, refusing to confirm or deny the news about the Vulture and the Vulturess. Asked if he would like to see either Malkovich or Hathaway in the next installment of "Spider-Man" film franchise, the 34-year-old coyly answered, "Who knows, who knows..."

According to Movieline, Malkovich who previously starred in "Eragon" has been in negotiations with the filmmakers to play the Vulture. The Vulture is described as an elderly enemy of Spider-Man, who can fly and use his sharp wings as a weapon.

As for Hathaway, she was said to be the top choice for Felicia Hardy. However, this Felicia Hardy in the fourth "Spider-Man" film will not transform into the Black Cat as what happens in the comic books, but she will become a brand new superpowered figure called the Vulturess, the site claimed.

Beside Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst will also return to "Spider-Man 4" to reprise her role as Mary Jane Watson. Sam Raimi is set to direct the movie, while Avi Arad along with Grant Curtis and Laura Ziskin will produce it. Planned to be released in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2011, the movie is expected to kick off its principal photography in February or March 2010.
