AceShowbiz - Words on the street are, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon finally call it quits for good. According to E! News, sources have confirmed the celebrity pair decided to end their love relationship about two weeks ago.
"They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts. When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they're not going to be together anymore," a source tells the site. Another source echoes, "There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese's kids."
Meanwhile, per PopEater.com a friend of Jake reveals, "The relationship was at the point where they either got engaged or broke up. There is no doubt that they love each other very much, but Reese wasn't ready to say 'I do.' And if she wasn't ready after two years of dating, Jake wondered if she ever would be."
Comment is yet to be made by either Jake or Reese. Their representatives also haven't returned calls seeking for confirmation on the credibility of the latest break-up report, which surfaces more than two weeks after representatives for both film stars confirmed to People that rumors claiming the pair has broken up after two years of dating were not true.
Jake Gyllenhaal, 28, and Reese Witherspoon, 33, met while filming 2007 thriller "Rendition". They then began dating, but never shared their love life with the press. Reese was married to actor Ryan Phillippe from June 1999 to October 2007. They are parents to two children; daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe and son Deacon Reese Phillippe.
