Turning 20 years old on Sunday, December 13, Taylor Swift staged a Christmas-themed birthday party for friends, her band and her tour crew at her family's home in Hendersonville, Tenn. Acting as a good host, the birthday girl spent the night before baking butter cookies and gingerbread cookies with cream-cheese icing for her guests. "She and her mom did almost all of the food for the party," a source told E! News.

Though so, Swift didn't cook her birthday cake by herself. She, instead, had a vanilla cake from Crumbs, as well as mini-cupcakes. She was joined for the soiree by "more than 50 people," revealed the source, who was quick to add the party "was fun!" Swift herself, in the meantime, has commented "It's more like an end-of-year Christmas party that happens to be on my birthday."

On the same day, the country music singer also made a $250,000 donation to schools around the country that she's either attended or worked with. The money will be used to pay teachers' salaries as well as buy books and fund various educational programs.

Speaking of the donation she's made, Swift raved, "Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education. The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back."
