Adam Lambert says he's cool with the fact that he is mentioned by Eminem on a song called "Elevator". He told MTV, "Well, you know, he used a word that's not necessarily very nice, but I'm sure he's got some sort of justification for it. And I'm not going to take it personally. It's cool, Eminem!"
Met by the publication on the red carpet for the launch party of online music service Vevo, Adam furthermore praises the Slim Shady as a smart guy who knows how to do business. "If you get mentioned in an Eminem song, you're doing something right. And I'm sure he was planning on creating some controversy, because he's a smart guy," he explained.
Adam Lambert is not the only celeb mentioned by Eminem on the song which is expected to be listed on December 21 release "Relapse: Refill". His "Americal Idol" pal Clay Aiken and NSYNC's former member Lance Bass also become his rapping subjects. "Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain't gonna make it / They get so mad, when I call them both fake / It's all these f---ing voices in my head, I can't take it / Someone shut that f---ing baby up, before I shake it," so the Slim Shady raps.
In addition, a number of celebrities have also been dissed by Eminem on his previous songs. Naming some are Mariah Carey, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson.

Adam is just a class act all the way. He handles everything with good humor, and totally gets the "playing a character" aspect of Eminem. Doesn't mean Eminem wasn't hating on him, but Adam is used to the haters and doesn't waste his energy on them. So all in all, Adam takes it the right way. And rises above all of it. His maturity and intelligence never cease to amaze me. He has been bashed and hyped to the extreme. He's too gay. He's not gay enough. I say he is an amazing new talent and I am sorry that the AMA thing may have hurt his debut sales. People should listen to it because it is awesome.
Eminem is the number one hip-hop recording artist of all time. Thats what it boils down to, he can leave for four years and comeback with the highest selling record of the year. Adam Lambert has a shelf life like a head of lettuce. Has anyone from American Idol changed the foundation of music....NOPE...not even close.
he's pretty level-headed to not take it personally. and fyi: eminem's got more talent thn you could wish for. I mean, he could do abit more without the whole swearing offensive stuff, but with his skills,he can make it kinda work..swear, he can make ppl want to be mentioned in his songs, hahahah!

Exactly.'Slim Shady' did not attack Adam personally. Now, as himself, Eminem did 'do battle' with Mariah and it was personal. Big difference.
