Jenna Fischer, who got engaged to writer fiance Lee Kirk in June, is planning to walk down the aisle next summer in Los Angeles. At the 2nd Annual Fur Ball at the Skirball Fundraiser benefiting Kitten Rescue on Saturday, December 5, she told People "We're keeping it small."
Not mentioning the exact wedding date and venue, the screen beauty did reveal, "We just got our save the date cards in, and they're adorable - after many hours and many proofs later." She then gushed, "We're going to hold them until after the holidays before sending them out so they don't get lost in the holiday mail. They were fun to pick out and [it] was a very fun girlie experience to touch the paper."
Dishing on her wedding preparation, the 35-year-old actress opened up she and Lee's wedding will not have a specific theme, adding they have finished preparing the "food and music," about which she enthused, "I'm a foodie, so I want to have really good food. We found a great caterer and had a two hour tasting and I left so full. We tried like four different entrees and 12 different appetizers."
Jenna then added, "Our next big thing is flowers, and I'm sure by the end I'll know every type of rose that grows and where it originates from. Right now, I'm like, 'Eh, I don't know.' I'm definitely going to have some roses in there - they're my favorite."
Jenna Fischer and Lee Kirk started dating in January 2008. The pair made their first outing as a couple at the Emmy Awards in September the same year and also appeared together at the Screen Actors Guild Awards back in January. They got engaged on June 30 while they were vacationing in Europe. The planned wedding will be the first for Lee and the second for Jenna, who was married to filmmaker James Gunn from 2000 to 2007.
