However, a secret team of vampires uncovers a way that would rescue the human race. At the same time, a group of surviving humans wishes to repopulate the species and survive.

Coming from writer-director duo, Peter and Michael Spierig, the film has two-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke playing researcher Edward Dalton. Also among the cast are Willem Dafoe as Elvis, Isabel Lucas as Alison Bromley, and Sam Neill as Charles Bromley. The movie will hit U.S. theaters on January 8, 2010.
