"I'm not [enjoying the single life]," says Rosie of her current life after being left by partner Kelli Carpenter two years ago.

AceShowbiz - Ever since she confirmed earlier this month that her partner Kelli Carpenter had left their house two years ago, Rosie O'Donnell has no hesitation to share with the press the things inside her love life. And she has on Monday, November 23 during the Rosie's Broadway Extravaganza in N.Y.C., told Us Weekly that she isn't enjoying the single life.

"But on we grow, so to speak," the openly lesbian star was quick to add. She, furthermore, revealed that she finds comfort in her dog. "My little dog, Missy, is great. I love animals. I think they are really important to people to connect to somebody," she theorized.

Rosie attended the annual Broadway Extravaganza with the companion of her son Parker and friend Judy Gold. Commenting on Rosie and Kelli's failed marriage, Judy stated she understands why Rosie waited for two years before finally making it public that she and Kelli have separated. "She has the kids. I think she's entitled to her private life and that's what it is, private," Judy said, adding "She seems great. She seems happy, she seems grounded."

Rosie O'Donnell and Kelli Carpenter, who is a former Nickelodeon marketing executive, got married on February 26, 2004. Their first three children; Parker, Chelsea, and Blake are all adopted, whereas the youngest Vivienne was conceived through artificial insemination.

Rosie told USA Today in late October that she and Kelli were "working on issues", but will remain "a family forever". Earlier this month, Rosie confirmed on her Sirius Satellite radio show that Kelli actually had left their house two years ago.
