Alexa Vega Engaged to Boyfriend Sean Covel

Alexa Vega is engaged to be married. Breaking the news of her engagement to film producer boyfriend Sean Covel is HotSpringsStar.com, to which the pair shares details when he proposed to her. The site, moreover, reports a wedding is planned for next year.

Covel says via phone interview from his office in Hollywood that he planned to propose to Vega after he picked up a custom-designed engagement ring from his jeweler friend in Beverly Hills. "I planned to propose in a grove of Christmas trees in Los Angeles," he reveals further. "But when I realized we would be back home doing a screening in Hot Springs, I knew this was the perfect opportunity, so I scrapped the old plan and whipped up a new one."

And so the actual engagement took place at the screening of Vega's film "Broken Hill" in Hot Springs last month. "My plan was to sneak in the back door while the film was playing and propose backstage behind the proscenium. I thought it would be a cool way to have our own private moment and still be in front of 400 of my teachers, friends and family," Covel recalls.

Of Covel's proposal, Vega says "I had no idea why he wanted to enter through the alley. I thought it was weird, but it seemed like an adventure. I found out later that half the town did something to help, but the entire audience kept it a secret. I went from being worried we'd get arrested for breaking and entering to suddenly realizing exactly what was happening. I think I laughed and cried and squealed all at the same time!"

And now that they have got engaged, Vega and Covel are planning to get married and have set the date for October 10, 2010. The nuptials is slated to be held in the Black Hills, South Dakota. "I've loved every trip I've made to South Dakota. And I can't imagine getting married anywhere else. It makes me happy to know I'm going to be making trips back here for the rest of my life," raves the bride-to-be.
