The R 'n' B singer says he isn't ready to start dating another lady following his infamous altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Already moving on with his life after settling the assault case that involves him and then-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown however admits he isn't ready to start dating again. In an interview with MTV News he opens up about his love life, saying in a statement "My whole dating thing, I've been kinda chillin'."
"I mean, I'm Chris Brown. I'm not saying it like that, but it's just, like, girls are gonna be around," he elaborates. "I love women. But I would say I've just been chillin'. I haven't really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody. I've just kinda been working on me. Like I said, just really getting me straight."
Ever since he reached a plea deal in the infamous February 8 altercation case, Chris Brown has been hard at work to record a new album to mark his comeback into the music industry. His set, titled "Graffiti", is his third one and slated to hit the U.S. market on December 8. Last week, Chris had the music video for his song "Crawl" being debuted. In it, he and fellow music star Cassie are seen playing estranged lovers. It is believed that the video tells about how he wants to leave the assault case behind and moves to the next phase of his life.
Chris himself has been quoted by MTV as explaining what the video is actually about. "So being able to express the feelings, it was like, probably one of the best [records I've done.] But it was more than me trying to do a record that meant crawl to love, crawl back to love. Meaning whether it's from your negative situations, whether it's from any problems you've dealt with, like anybody's situation," he stated, adding that "whether it's anything, anybody just crawl back to love. 'Cause love conquers everything. Love, at the end of the day, makes everybody happy."
