OneRepublic have something to prove in 'Waking Up' which hits the stores across United States on November 17.

AceShowbiz - OneRepublic are readying to follow up their debut album "Dreaming Out Loud" which has sent them to worldwide stardom with another studio project "Waking Up" which is due for November 17 U.S. release. With this new effort, frontman Ryan Tedder said they've "kinda of woken up" after finishing its predecessor in 2004 but had to wait for almost three years and a half to make the album come out for purchase.

Also, this band have evolved from the first record to the second one. Bassist Brent Kutzle exclusively told AceShowbiz, "This album will have more up-tempo songs compared to the last. I think when you tour as much as we did the past three years you not only want to put out songs that move people, but you'd want your own live set to be just as fun for you."

"Our goal is to create music we love and always make music that's 'singable' for everyone. It wouldn't be fun if we played shows and are music was so complex that people could only listen and not participate in singing."

The band's fans in Germany, Switzerland and Austria are treated with catchy tune "Secrets", which uses strings and some organic hip hop drums on the hook, as the lead single. In other territories meanwhile, "All the Right Moves" is released as the first offering.

OneRepublic have sent one of the songs in the album for Timbaland's upcoming "Shock Value 2". Though so, they are determined to get their songs rolling without the help of a massive producer like Tim. "When you break with a remix you kind of have to prove yourself somewhere along the line. This album is us. No producers, but ourselves," Brent said when referring to the smash hit of "Apologize" remix by Timbaland.

Most recently, the band have finished a number of tour dates with Rob Thomas and made a duet with Leona Lewis in a song called "Lost Then Found" which will appear in her forthcoming sophomore set "Echo". On November 12, they announced a free show which will take place on date 20 at the PEARL in Las Vegas. Several live concerts in U.K. have also been listed on their calendar. Fans can visit their MySpace to obtain detailed info about their forthcoming show.
