As announced by Greg Grunberg, Kate Vernon will make a guest starring appearance although the date is not yet known.

AceShowbiz - One of the original cast of "Heroes" has tweeted that Kate Vernon from "Battlestar Galactica" is going to guest star on the show. Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman wrote on Thursday, November 12, "Kate Vernon from BSG is now on #Heroes -- can't wait for you guys to see her. The 5th!!"

While what kind of role Vernon will play out in the series is not yet known, Grunberg had earlier posted a picture of the actress posing with Robert Knepper. In the sci-fi series, Knepper plays Sam, the ringleader of traveling troupe called The Carnival, so Vernon could either be the latest member of the group or a relative of Sam.

Kate Vernon, who plays Ellen Tigh on "Galactica", has not given commitment to any TV series after the Sci Fi series wrapped up earlier this year. However, she had joined the cast ensemble of "The Last Song" which is going to theaters across the U.S. on April 2, 2010.

Although "Heroes" is struggling with its rating, the show has been nominated for Favorite Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Show at the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards. Also listed under the category are, "True Blood", "Supernatural", "The Vampire Diaries" and "Lost".
