Explaining his desire to be a superhero, Dave Lizewski is seen transforming into green-costumed superhero in the first official teaser trailer for 'Kick-Ass'.

AceShowbiz - The first teaser tailer for adventure fantasy movie "Kick-Ass" has come out through its official website. The more than one minute clip is opened with a narration by the major character, Dave Lizewski, who explains his desire to be a superhero. The snippet also introduces some characters, such as Hit Girl, Big Daddy, and Red Mist.

Based on Mark Millar's comic of the same title, "Kick-Ass" centers on Lizewski, an average teenager whose hobby of reading comic books inspires him to become a real-life superhero. Assembling green-colored suit and mask to wear, he opts to be called Kick-Ass and gets to work fighting crime.

As a superhero wannabe, Kick-Ass actually has no superpower. However, his life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes.

The titular character is played by Aaron Johnson, while 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo Hit Girl and her father Big Daddy are portrayed by Chloe Moretz and Nicolas Cage respectively. Written and directed by "Stardust" helmer Matthew Vaughn, "Kick-Ass" is funded entirely by the British filmmaker. The movie is expected to hit U.S. theaters on April 16, 2010.
