Though claiming himself as unromantic guy, Robert says he believes in on-screen romance and doesn't agree with common notion that it's only for girls.

AceShowbiz - Starring as protective and romantic vampire Edward Cullen in drama-romance-thriller "Twilight", Robert Pattinson says he is completely unromantic off screen. "I can't think of a single romantic thing that I've ever done," so he confessed while promoting the highly anticipated "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" in Los Angeles on Friday, November 6.

"I would never serenade someone to be romantic - you have to have so much balls to do that," stated the British actor. "I put a flower in someone's locker when I was 15 years old, this girl called Maria. She thought that it was someone else and the other guy claimed it as well, which is great."

Though so, Robert claims he is a big believer in on-screen romance and doesn't agree with common notion that it's only for ladies. "It's like saying guys can't appreciate romance. I've watched 'Titanic' and I didn't think, 'Oh, this is a girl's film'," he explained, before then adding "I felt like the storyline in 'New Moon' is very heartbreaking and true. I didn't think I was doing something just for the sake of romance."

When asked if there is resemblance between him and his character Edward, Robert revealed, "I get quite obsessive about things, and possessive as well. I have very, very specific ideas about how I want to do my work and how I want to be perceived, to the point of ridiculousness sometimes."

"I don't listen to anyone else," he added. "That's why I don't have a publicist - I can't stand it if someone's trying to tell me to do something which might be a mistake."
