Confirmation has finally been made by Adam Lambert that he has split from boyfriend Drake LaBry. Speaking to Us Weekly, he said he is "cool" with his single status and still remains "very good friend" with Drake.
"I don't really feel like there were any mistakes made," so he said while attending the Los Angeles premiere of "2012 (2009)" on Tuesday, November 3. "I feel like things evolved. Sometimes you're on the same page with somebody, and sometimes you have to get off that page and on to another one."
Now that he is single, Adam has vowed to get back on the dating scene again soon. "I will date on tour," he stated. And when he was asked on what kind of boyfriend he is looking for, the runner-up of "American Idol" 8th season revealed he wants to date someone who is "intelligent" and has "creativity and compassion."
Earlier this week Us Weekly broke the story that Adam Lambert has split from interior designer Drake LaBry. The pair's separation was said to be mutual. A source told the publication "it's all about timing", elaborating that "Adam is crazy busy right now getting the album done and squeezing in rehearsals," when referring to the singer's debut album "For Your Entertainment", which will be made available for purchase in the U.S. on date 23 later this month.

If time and timing was the issue, how will Adam have any more time for a new boyfriend than he had for Drake. So obviously, the split must have been for other reasons. If he's on the prowl already, the reasons he gave for the split with Drake doesn't make sense.

Compassion is a great trait for a partner especially for ADAM's celebrity. It encompasses being understanding and accepting that ADAM has to be shared. ADAM needs someone who is selfless, not selfish. Someone who is sure of himself and a complete and whole person on his own not to be dependent on ADAM. It would be a disaster if one is a clingy type.
