pays homage to his close friend Wayman Tisdale who passed away in May last year as captured in a music video for his single "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)". His performance scene is mashed up with random footage of the late NBA star and jazz bassist.

"Cryin' for Me" is taken from Keith's latest studio installment "". The country music crooner planned to perform the song at Tisdale's funeral, but delivered 's "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" instead because he was too emotional to sing the tribute track.

Toby Keith's 13th studio album, "American Ride" has arrived in U.S. stores since October 6. Led by the title track, the effort peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200 and reigned the U.S. Top Country Albums chart.

Toby, Cried For Me has to be the most touching song I have ever heard, I lost my sister Dorothy in 1992 to a violent death at 40 years of age ! She leaves behind three kids who are grown now with her grandchildren but it is always in my heart, just want you to know that your song meant so much to me! I'm very sorry for your lose! Wow!! Had heard the song on the radio, but wasn't until my wife called me to watch the video that I realized the song was about Tiz. I grew up in Sac. and was a hugh fan. He had a great smile and swagger. He will be missed by all that got to meet him. Thanks TK

I cried the first time I heard this beautiful song and cry every time I hear it, still. It reminds me of an old friend who also played bass guitar and is greatly missed by his family, friends, and fans. Thank You TK!!!

I was watching CMT Top 20 videos about 2 weeks ago and Toby Keith was singing this song about the man who was on the screen. I immediately started crying, not even knowing who the man was that Toby was singing about. The song and music was so powerful. I'm not a sports fan at all, so I did not know who Mr. Tisdale was, but that song and Mr. Tisdale's smile touched my heart. So I got on the internet to find out about him. What a exemplary MAN. Thanks Toby.

What a wonderful tribute. I'm not up with the basketball scene, but I read up on Tisdale. Amazing story. Amazing song by Toby Keith. It surely must have been a wonderful friendship. Wouldn't it be great if that song could be sung about all of us. The world would be a much safer, loving place to live. Thanks, Toby Keith for this song. This is what makes you such a great person. An asset to the country music industry and the USA. This is why I am such a TK fan. If this song doesn't get to you, you had better check yourself.

Toby, I have always admired you as a song writer. You have such a wonderful way of putting real life into the words of a song. You really hit the top with the song "I'm Cryin for Me". The video is terrific and heartfelt. God Bless You and Wayman Tisdale. Thank you for that wonderful tribute to friend.

what a wonderful song. I cried when I heard it the first time. My husband, of 32 yrs, passed away from complications of a bone marrow transplant, in Feb 2008. He was only 52. I too, remember calling his cell phone many times to hear his voice. When I hear this song, I think of him, and he would have said not to cry for him because he was in a better place. This song brought back lots of good memories of us and I do truly miss him. Thankyou for this song. What a great tribute for all of us who have lost someone we have loved so dearly and miss them every day.

August of this year my father passed away... the first time I heard this song I cried and I couldn't stop. The exact words I said at my father's wake was that I was crying for me. For my own selfish reasons because I will never be able to hug him again. Thank you so much for this song.
