A limited edition of CD/DVD set 'MTV Unplugged' which features Katy Perry's acoustic performance will include two new songs and is scheduled to come out on November 17.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is set to release a limited edition of "MTV Unplugged" across U.S. on November 17, following the footstep of Eric Clapton and Tony Bennett. In advance of the CD/DVD set, a trailer featuring clips of her acoustic performances is brought forward. There is also tracklisting which reveals the album's songs selection.

"I really want to do MTV Unplugged obviously because it has such a great history of showing off really who the person is," Katy reasoned. Recorded live in New York on July 22, 2009, the album will be filled with re-arrangements of her hit singles "I Kissed a Girl", "Waking Up in Vegas" and "Thinking of You".

Beside remixing her chart-busting tracks from "One of the Boys" album, she will also treat fans with two new songs. One is a never-before-heard material called "Brick by Brick" and the other is a cover version of Fountains of Wayne's song "Hackensack".

Individual songs from the "Unplugged" will be debuted during MTV's morning video block "AMTV" on November 16. Meanwhile, the full program, including Katy's exclusive interview which will be featured on its DVD package, will be aired on Palladia on November 27 at 9 P.M. and 12 A.M.

Katy Perry has at least three hit singles, one of which ruled Billboard Hot 200 for seven weeks in a row. She has also received multiple awards, including 2008 MTV Europe Music Award for New Act and 2009 Brit Award for International Female Solo Artist.

Beside gearing to release "MTV Unplugged", Katy recently started working on the follow-up to "One of the Boys". She told MTV, "I'm kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between 'Lovefool' by The Cardigans and ['The Sign'] by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to."
