Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Karina Smirnoff: 'I Feel Completely Betrayed'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy won't stop sharing with the press on how he feels toward the end of his engagement with Karina Smirnoff, telling People "I feel completely betrayed. I'm done." He declines to elaborate his statement though, concluding "I don't want to get into the specifics. Let's just leave it at I'm done."

Meanwhile, multiple sources have informed the weekly publication that reconciliation is unlikely for the dancers, who have participated in dancing competition "Dancing with the Stars". The sources claim it is Karina's close bond with her current "DWTS" partner Aaron Carter that shuts the door for reunion.

And though Aaron has recently made public his crush on ballroom dancer Chelsie Hightower, who is also a "DWTS" contestant, those sources insist that was just a "smokescreen". "That's so funny. Everyone [at the show] knows that's not true. That's Karina trying to manipulate things to take attention off her and Aaron," a source says, adding that Maksim "had hoped they could work things out."

Karina herself hasn't issued a single comment since she had her representative announcing her split from Maksim last month. She, nevertheless, was said to have had a new boyfriend after she was photographed holding hands and acting "extremely physical" with a man, whose identity remains mystery, at Teddy's in the Roosevelt hotel on September 28.
