The mother of two children's car has been rear-ended by a photographer's vehicle during an outing in Beverly Hills and has gone to the hospital to seek treatment after complaining of pain.

AceShowbiz - Celebrity socialite Nicole Richie was involved in a traffic accident on Monday, October 5 in Beverly Hills and reportedly has sought medical treatment after complaining of pain. An unnamed adult was in her car when the incident took place, but it has been confirmed that neither her two children, Harlow and Sparrow, nor her partner Joel Madden was in the vehicle when the accident took place.
According to Beverly Hills police Lt. Tony Lee, Nicole was driving a Land Rover on Wilshire Blvd. when she was rear-ended by a photographer who was driving a Jeep Cherokee just before 2 P.M. on Monday. "She complained of pain ... Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene," the officer confirms further.
"She told officers she was going to seek her own medical treatment, so it's unknown if she's headed to a hospital or not," Lt. Tony adds. Later a witness says Nicole went to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with her mother to be treated for minor injuries. The star herself hasn't made comment on the accident.
In the meantime, the photographer who rear-ended Nicole has been arrested and charged with driving without a license, and is in the process of being "physically booked," Lt. Tony claims, adding that police are still trying to verify his identity. "He's being physically brought into the station. This will likely be a misdemeanor traffic violation, and the photographer's vehicle will be towed," he says in a statement.
