Six New Photos From James Cameron's 'Avatar' Found
Movie

The new promo images bring forth another look at Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine and Michelle Rodriguez's Trudy Chacon in addition to close up shot at Zoe Saldana's Neytiri and others.

AceShowbiz - A batch of new photos from "Avatar" has been released. All six images come from Spoiler TV. Most of the images focus on the close-up shots of Na'Vi creatures, but two feature a better look at some of the humans and one captures an aerial shot of two war birds in the middle of a battle in Pandora.

Three of the overall six pictures center the attention on Zoe Saldana's Neytiri and the avatar of Sam Worthington's Jake Sully. Meanwhile, both of the images that give out the humans display Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine. One of them adds Michelle Rodriguez's Trudy Chacon in the background.

Photos aside, a roughly 20 minutes footage, including two new never-before-seen scenes, has been shown at Fantastic Fest on October 1. Market Saw reported that the first video screened was of Jake, Grace, and Joel David Moore's Norm Spellman touching down in the jungle. The second one, in the meantime, displayed "Neytiri and Jake on the branch of one of the 1000 foot trees that the Na'vi inhabit".

First conceived by director/producer/writer James Cameron 14 years ago, "Avatar" underwent four years of actual production work. It centers on a wounded ex-marine, who is thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, and eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival. December 18 will be the date it hits U.S. theaters.
