Her new album is confirmed to be called 'The Singles Collection', while her new single is titled '3'.
An official confirmation has been made by Britney Spears' camp that the pop singer is going to release a new album as well as new single later this year. The release of both the single and album is said to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her debut in the recording industry. The confirmation comes in the wake of earlier report run by BreatheHeavy.com that Britney will tape "A Night With Britney Spears" in Las Vegas for ABC next Tuesday, September 29 and is having a new album, titled "The Singles Collection", and an accompanying single dubbed "3 Love".
According to a release posted on BritneySpears.com, Britney recorded her track, titled "3", recently with the help of longtime producer Max Martin, the mastermind behind her legendary pop tune "... Baby One More Time." The single is set to hit radio next Tuesday, September 29. Meanwhile, "The Singles Collection" is set to be released under Jive Records on November 24. The effort will be available for purchase as a standard set and a packaged box set.
"The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song '3.' Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney's videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track," read the release.
As for the standard version of "The Singles Collection", it is said to contain 17 of Britney's chart topping favorites along with the new song "3," all on one CD.
