After a couple of years being in the black list, Kathy Griffin made her triumphant return to "The View" holding her new book. The comedienne was the guest for the Friday, September 18 episode where Kate Gosselin was present as a co-host instead of Barbara Walters.
Having a history with Barbara, Kathy continuously made fun of the host throughout her interview, pretending that Barbara was sitting behind Whoopi Goldberg. "Barbara Walters is not here, anyone notice?" she said later on. "I ran into her in the bathroom and it was like old school, ghetto girls fight. It was like a prison fight, with the two pulling each other's hair."
However, what people expected to see from her appearance was how she would face off Kate whom she has parodied in a skit for "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". There was actually no cat-fight or bickering. Instead, Kathy praised "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and admitted that it's a good show that she has been watching since season 1. Kate herself revealed that she watched the skit online and commented, "I caught myself cracking up out loud. You're awesome."
Kathy made time to crack jokes about Whitney Houston's comeback and her attendance to this year's Teen Choice Awards with Levi Johnston.

Kate, should be able to be anything she wants, she is a mom but she can also do anything. I think that she is a good speaker and a good mother. I am a single mom, and I also work, does that make me a bad mom, nobody knows what anyone goes through unless you walk in their shoes. I say enough bashing Kate, if everyone has time to do that then they probably need to work on their selves a little bit. After all nobody is perfect, nobody.
I'm not saying she should or shouldn't do a talk show if given the opportunity, but the blogger who said she should home with her 8 young children has to realize she's living in a new world where Mothers work and if done correctly the kids don't suffer. I have been married 43 years and I do like when most Moms didn't work full time. But this is a different time and place.
Kate is out of her league in attempting her new career. She needs to stay home with the eight young children who need their mom.
