'Dancing with the Stars' to Pay Patrick Swayze a Tribute

TV tributes for Patrick Swayze are pouring in with the latest coming from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars". This coming Wednesday, September 23, the dancing show is going to honor the late actor who previously made guest appearances on the show during season 1 when he supported his pal John O'Hurley.

"We have some very fond memories of [Patrick] coming to help us when we were a tiny little show way back when," the show's Executive Producer Conrad Green told People. "He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor. He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance. We want to honor the great moments he's brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films."

Patrick Swayze, who died on Monday, September 14, was popular back in late '80s after he was starring as Johnny Castle in "Dirty Dancing". A low-budget film by a new studio, the film raked in success in the box office and awards shows like Golden Globes and Grammys.

Not only on "DWTS", Patrick was also remembered by ABC through "Barbara Walters Special - Patrick Swayze: Last Dance" which aired on Thursday, September 17 at 10/9c. Walters managed to get the first television interview with the actor after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2008.
