In the memoir, titled "The Time of My Life", he reveals his struggle with stage four pancreatic cancer and how his wife Lisa Niemi supports him during the time.

AceShowbiz - The excerpts from the memoir written by deceased actor Patrick Swayze have emerged. In the set, titled "The Time of My Life", he opens up about how he found out for the very first time that he suffered stage 4 pancreatic cancer about 20 months ago. He, moreover, also tells all about his marriage life to actress wife Lisa Niemi, whom he married in June 1975.

"I had been having some digestive trouble, mostly acid reflux and a kind of bloated feeling, for a few weeks," the actor wrote in the book, which will come out on September 29. "I've had a sensitive stomach my whole life, so I hadn't thought much of it, but lately I just couldn't shake the constant discomfort."

"My doctor told me my chances of surviving for more than a few months weren't high and I had no reason to doubt him," revealed Patrick, adding that he insisted to fight the disease and continue filming his TV series "The Beast". He claimed in the memoir, "I continued with chemotherapy all the way through the shoot. But I never took any painkillers since they dull not only your pain but also your sharpness."

Fighting his illness, Patrick found strength in Lisa, about whom he wrote "How grateful I am that you chose to love me. I know that because of you, I've found my spirit. I saw the man I wanted to be. You are my woman, my lover, my mate and my lady. I loved you forever, I love you now and I will love you forever more."

Despite his health struggle, Patrick remains positive, writing in the book "I began thinking to myself, I've had more lifetimes than any 10 people put together, and it's been an amazing ride. So this is okay."

Patrick Swayze lost his battle against pancreatic cancer on Monday, September 14. He was 57 years old. As of the press time, no word just yet on burial plan.
