Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz is not pregnant, she herself has confirmed to the press while hitting the red carpet premiere of her upcoming film "Broken Embraces" at Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, September 10. To Donna Freydkin of USA Today, the beauty said, "I start getting some presents from friends saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' And I say, 'No, I'm not, so return the presents'."
Prior to uttering her verbal denial during the star-studded event, Cruz and her camp have never addressed rumors of her pregnant with actor boyfriend Javier Bardem's baby which keep developing ever since she was spotted sporting what was believed as baby bump during several occasions. Just Jared which exclusively brought the story to the surface earlier last month was told by an unnamed source, "Penelope is about four months pregnant. She's really healthy now and will be a great mother."
In somehow a doubting proof of her carrying a bun in the oven however, Penelope has been photographed on Wednesday, September 9, smoking Parliament cigarettes while hanging out with fellow actress Salma Hayek at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel.
As for "Broken Embraces", the drama film is slated to be released in limited theaters on November 20 later this year.
