Confessing that she and husband Josh Kelley have never met their adopted daughter before, Katherine claims the baby will arrive stateside very soon.

AceShowbiz - Further details surrounding the adoption process that Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley have been working on are unleashed by the actress herself. Sitting down for an interview in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", she says her adopted daughter, a special needs baby girl from Korea, will arrive stateside very soon.

The Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens of TV series "Grey's Anatomy" admits that she and Josh have not yet met the infant personally. "They sent us a picture. They told us that it was a little girl and who she was and the information about six months ago," she reveals further. "It was meant to take a long time. This sort of thing can take years."

"She has special needs," says the beauty about her forthcoming daughter, whom she and Josh have planned to call Naleigh. "She is a special needs baby and because of that it all moved so much faster. They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible."

Asked about the chosen name, Katherine explains to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she names her after her mother and older sister, who is adopted from Korea. "I am naming her after my mother and sister - Nancy, Leigh. So we call her Naleigh. We have to meet her first. We assume it's a Naleigh."

Opening up even more about the baby, she says Naleigh was actually "born the day before" her in November, which she later on considers as "really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign." She then adds, "I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life."

Katherine Heigl's full interview in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" is set to be aired on Friday, September 11.
