With the premiere date imminent, the dancing pairs are giving updates on how far they have progressed in the show while begging for votes.

AceShowbiz - The nine pairs who will compete in the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars" have started taping for the joint promo of the show. While taking a break to wait for their turn, the stars and their professional dancer partners took turns to express their excitement and to reveal their individual strategies.
"Yes, I've been in the show business all my life, but I've never been a ballroom dancer," Donny Osmond said about 'first reactions'. Former House Majority leader Tom DeLay meanwhile "can't believe" that somebody would ask him to be on the show. "America probably doesn't know that I love to dance," Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin revealed.
On what things that they have done in preparation for the September 21 premiere where they must perform live, actress Debi Mazar said, "Spray tan, getting into this costume. Maks [Chmerkovskiy] constantly reminding me of my footwork. Beat up, smack in the face with sheer delight."
Jonathan Roberts praised his celebrity partner Macy Gray who has the advantage of being a singer, saying "She has a great rhythm, great feeling for the music". Tony Dovolani also had something to say about model Kathy Ireland. He said, "From the moment she came in, she gave 150 percent. Only after I tell her 'I think we need to stop'."
This season's line-up is particularly variable with the inclusion of NFL star, "Ultimate Fighting" champion and pro snowboarder. The celebrities themselves are excited to meet each other. Louie Vito said he grew up watching Chuck Lidell and Michael Irvin and thus meeting them first hand is beyond what he imagined. Mya meanwhile admitted that she was excited to meet Kelly Osbourne.
