Fans can listen to the chorus of Death Cab for Cutie's 'Meet Me in the Equinox', which is chosen as the lead single off 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' soundtrack.

AceShowbiz - Gearing up for its debut on September 13 at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Death Cab for Cutie's new song "Meet Me in the Equinox", which is the lead single off "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" soundtrack album, has got its official preview. 40 seconds long, the snippet reveals how the chorus of the track will be like.

In addition to the song's clip, details about what to expect from its accompanying music video are also disclosed. "The whole idea behind the video is that this house that we're in, this crazy ski lodge of a building here, it's going to get cut together with scenes from the film, sort of like it's a place that might be in Forks, sort of a place that might be next door to Bella's house or something," the band's guitarist Chris Walla told MTV News.

"All the light stuff that's happening through the windows, it's the 'day-turning-into-night-turning-into-day thing,' the idea is that it's supposed to look like a time-lapse thing, only it's not actually a time-lapse thing, and it's quite a trick. There's a 50-foot crane outside that some series of structural engineers are operating. It's pretty remarkable, I mean, like it's daylight right here, and it's pitch-black right behind us. It's kinda nuts."

This band are currently filming the video in Toronto, Canada. Previously, bassist Nick Harmer said the band want to have the movie's stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to appear in the video. There hasn't been any premiere date for the video.

The compilation set of the "New Moon" soundtracks itself will be released in U.S. on October 20 via Chop Shop/Atlantic Records and has been made available for pre-order in digital retails. Aside from Death Cab for Cutie, other musicians scoring music for the movie are yet to be disclosed. Words are, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Kings of Leon, Lee Safar, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear and Muse will contribute to this studio project. Also, the movie's leading man Robert Pattinson, who wrote two songs for the first installment of the film series "Twilight", may get his hands into crafting music for this flick.

Snippet of "Meet Me in the Equinox" can be found on Death Cab for Cutie's official website.
