Two more "Sex and the City" stars have been spotted in New York City to film their parts for the romantic comedy sequel. After Sarah Jessica Parker shot her part as Carrie Bradshaw with Chris Noth's Mr. Big on Tuesday, September 1, it was Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon's turns to take over the Big Apple.
Cattrall who returns to play the scandalous Samantha Jones was spotted arriving for her first day of shooting on Thursday, September 3. She was captured heading to the set wearing a pair of black sunglasses along with a strapless black dress. Joining the 53-year-old on her way to the Manhattan set was costume designer Patricia Field.
Cattrall's co-star, Nixon, was also spotted rehearsing scenes on the set on Thursday, but it wasn't until the next day on September 4 in the West Village, New York City that she was captured filming scenes. On the day, the depicter of career-driven Miranda Hobbes was joined by Parker and her on-screen son Joseph Pupo. Pictures of Nixon on the set can be seen via Celebrity Mania.
The filming of "Sex and the City 2" has taken place in New York City since Tuesday. Parker was the first to be spotted on the set as she was captured at the Upper East Side as Carrie Bradshaw in a white Halston dress and sky high gold Christian Louboutin heels with a Chanel clutch on her hand. She was later joined by Noth when they were filming scenes around a Mercedes on 84th street in Manhattan.
Little is known about which direction writer/director/producer Michael Patrick King will take for this second big screen adaptation of the HBO's drama comedy series. Nonetheless, this follow-up to 2008's "SATC" is expected to come out in theaters across the U.S. on May 28, 2010.
