Having no will at the time of his death, AM will have his financial matters being taken care off by his mother Andrea Gross.

AceShowbiz - Andrea Gross, the mother of DJ AM, has filed legal documents in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 2, seeking to obtain formal ruling from the court that will see her serving as her late son's special administrator to clear up his financial matters. Leaving no will at the time of his death, AM thus left his mother as his sole heir.

It is mentioned in the court papers, which are obtained by E! News, that AM had an annual gross income of $3.5 million and other property valued at $400,000. However, the late celebrity deejay carried a debt of $2.9 million, leaving his estate valued at approximately $1 million.

The documents, moreover, mention that AM had no spouse or children. He is said to be in the process of selling a home in Los Angeles before his death and Andrea has asked the court for permission to allow the sale to go through. Besides, she is also seeking court permission to recover his personal belongings. A court hearing on the matter is set for October 7 later this year.

36-year-old DJ AM was found dead at his apartment in New York City on Friday, August 28. He has been laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in West Los Angeles on Wednesday. Best friend Travis Barker was seen attending his burial. The drummer was photographed wearing all-black outfits during the private service.

Cause of his death is expected to be determined in the next few weeks when authorities complete the toxicology tests. Memorial service reportedly has been set to be held at the Hollywood Palladium in L.A. on Thursday, September 3.
