More than a year after the sixth season, things are looking good for Dan, Brooke and Haley.

AceShowbiz - "One Tree Hill" gives fans a sneak peek to the seventh season by clipping four minutes of its opening scene. Dan, emerging from the death door and looking healthy, narrated, "I sat through in the dark, alone, broken on the eve of my son's first game in the NBA. I sat alone on the playground basketball court, waiting for death. I've been given only days to live. That was 14 months ago."

Developments in the main characters' lives are then shown. Haley is in the studio recording her new single which is used as the opening's background music. Brooke and Julian are very much in love but too busy with their respective careers to get together. And then there is a peek at the new character, Clay, who is played by Robert Buckley.

In the first episode of the season, Nathan learns of a shocking accusation that could threaten his career, much to the chagrin of his sports agent Clay. Brook prepares to launch a new fashion line, and Julian decides to produce a big movie. Haley's sister Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) makes a surprise visit. Meanwhile, Jamie celebrates his 7th birthday.

"One Tree Hill" premieres Monday, September 14 before "Gossip Girl".
