LeAnn Rimes has finally confirmed that she and husband Dean Sheremet have decided to call it quits after more than seven years of marriage. In a message posted on her official website on Tuesday, September 1, the actress-singer wrote, "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage."
Her statement furthermore read, "This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another." At the end of her post Rimes concluded, "Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support - it is deeply appreciated."
LeAnn Rimes, who turned 27 years old last Friday, August 28, wed back-up dancer Dean Sheremet in February 2002. At that time she was still 19 years old and he was 21 years old. Their marriage was said to be on the rocks amidst allegation that she has an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, her co-star in TV movie "Northern Lights".
Despite months of denying an affair, Rimes and Cibrian have gone public with their romance. The pair was photographed visiting a golf course in Valencia, California on August 20. They reportedly also took a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this past weekend.
Eddie, in the meantime, has filed for divorce from his wife Brandi Glanville on August 24 after eight years of marriage. They have two young sons; Mason Edward and Jake Austin.

I love Leann's voice, and I used to think she was cool, but ew... not! Only girls with no self esteem and no respect for anyone else cheats with a MARRIED man! And how about Ed's children? How will they react 2 the papparazzi and the tabloids? I'm really disappointed in Leann, and I'm sure others are too.
