Following their fellow musician DJ AM's sudden passing on August 28, Blink-182 decided to call off their scheduled performance in Saratoga, New York City. "Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC," so it was announced on the band's official website.
"Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time," the statement continued. Bassist/singer Mark Hoppus also tweeted about the cancellation, "Saratoga, our sincerest apologies that we have to cancel tonight. We didn't know until late this afternoon."
Blink-182, who paid tribute to DJ AM in Hartford, Connecticut, were supposed to perform on August 31 at 6:30 P.M. at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. This band's next concert will be on September 2 at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio. For more info about their other forthcoming shows, fans can log on to their official website.
