Renee Zellweger was involved in a minor car accident in Beverly Hills on Monday morning, August 31. However, it has been confirmed that she is okay and has walked away from the scene unscathed.
Detailing on the incident, Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department revealed Renee was traveling alone in her silver Mercedes G wagon north on Camden Drive when a green Ford Explorer made an illegal u-turn. "Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere," confirmed the officer.
"Ms. Zellweger requested her car be towed from the scene, and also requested that officers call her a cab," Lt. Tony told People, adding that the actress and driver of the other car have exchanged information and "the incident will be handled between their insurance companies."
TMZ, which reported the accident first, claimed to have been informed by authorities that no one was cited for the crash. Neither Renee nor her camp has made comment on the matter though.
